About Ayurveda

Having been born in Sri Lanka, India, Ayurveda is one of the world’s three major medicines and the world’s oldest traditional medicine with a more than 5,000-year history.
The word, Ayurveda is composed of the Sanskrit words, Ayuh (life and age) and Veda (science and knowledge) and it have a long tradition as a medicine that study life itself or a practical health management method in the daily life.
Ayurveda is officially approved by World Health Organization (WHO) like traditional Chinese medicine.
While Western medicine removes a disease's symptom through a treatment, Ayurveda is a prevention medicine and aims to keep people young and promote their health and long life. It became to be spotlighted as a highly sophisticated health management method. In 1977, Ayurveda gained public notoriety along with yoga and started to attract lots of attention.
In Ayurveda, the energy that constitutes the human body is called “dosha" and a disease is brought about by the disorder of the dosha.
We examine the disorder of the dosha through inspection, palpation, inquiry and auscultation.

The dosha has three life energies that are vata, pitta and kapha, and it is thought that if we have these excessively, the disorder of the dosha happens and we will become a disease.
We see the human body from these doshas and achieve a balance among them by melting excessive doshas with whole-body oil massage, called Abhyanga.
Balancing doshas leads to purification in the body. We also conduct adjustment of a balance among doshas and elimination of a poison.

*We conduct a 15-minute counseling session for first time comers.
*The time for counseling session, foot bath and bathing is not included in the practice time.
*Those who are pregnant or have a chronic disease or go to hospital for any symptom need to have a doctor’s approval before making an appointment and coming to our salon.
*If you use a babysitting service, additional 1,200 yen is required in each course.
